South Yorkshire Schools and Youth Hockey Junior Development Centres (JDCs)

You will all now be nearing the completion of the hockey development programme at your local JDC and we hope that you have found this a worthwhile and beneficial experience. Over 200 young people have taken part. To complete the programme we have organised a number of tournaments for ALL PLAYERS who are registered with one of the JDCs. These will take place at Rotherham on either the 7th or 14th December depending on the age group you are involved with.

At these tournaments we will also be looking for players who would be suitable to be invited to the next stage of the hockey athlete development programme, which is the Junior Academy Centres.

The South Yorkshire Hockey JDC tournaments will take place on the Astroturf arena at Firth Rixson Aurora Sports Club Ground, Bawtry Rd., Brinsworth, Rotherham. S60 5ND. The schedule is given below and the cost will be £4 for each participant.

We are now preparing for the South Yorkshire Hockey Junior Academy Centres (JACs) for age groups Under 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 both boys and girls.
